Growing up in rural Ethiopia, I had never seen a printed photo until a photographer visited our home. I wasn’t in the portrait, but when I saw the print, I was so moved I cried until I fainted. That moment changed my life. With my first savings—1,200 ETB—I bought a digital camera. Today, I’m based in Switzerland, working with top-tier gear and clients across the world.
